AdventureHER 2024

gritgracebelles

AdventureHER at Merus Adventure park in Claude, Texas is an outdoor event designed FOR women and BY women! It’s an exciting and incredible experience to witness other women overcome fears and challenges as they wheel. This amazing weekend creates a no-pressure environment where ladies can feel comfortable and confident as they learn new skills or expand on old ones.

Merus has some of the very best and experienced trail guides out there! And this weekend is lead by women guides only! (Spouses and significant others can come but the women are the only ones driving!) They offer trail guides for their Green trail designations all the way to their Double Black trail designations.

“Merus is spectacular! It has a unique beauty in the middle of flat land. The park has something for all levels of experience and offers new challenges. It leaves me wanting more. The connections I made with the women of AdventureHER will stay with me for a long time to come.” Lisa Addington

And even more than this event, Danielle and I have fallen in love with this canyon! Beyond wheeling, you can hike multiple trails, go spelunking in several caves, and take in all of the wildlife that calls this 7500-acre area home.

This event will be one that we forever attend! I was the co-emcee this year, and despite being really nervous about it, it made the weekend even more impactful. Hearing multiple stories from ladies that either learned something new about their vehicle or found the empowerment within themselves was encouraging! I’m so thankful I got to share this weekend with my teammate, make new friends, and develop deeper bonds with the friends that came with us!

This will be one we will never forget for another reason as well. Dirk had asked us if they could round up a team and come assist/be mechanics for us or even if they could cheer us on as we came across the finish line. “Nope. You can’t do either of those things unfortunately.” HAHA. Yet he still went above and beyond to make sure we are prepared for our rally.

AdventureHER

This one was one for the books. Thankful. Just truly thankful. For this park, this event, but even more so..these people.

See you next year AdventureHER!
